Eternabond on a newer trailer

I bought a new WW FB2100 last December - is there anyone here who has installed or would recommend installing Eternabond tape over seals on a newer roof as a preventative to possible problems down the road?
I'm thinking it would be cheap insurance against cracked caulk and leaks, and also better to do while the trailer is still newer while I know the caulk underneath the tape would still be in good condition.

RE: Warrior's assets siezed

Suburbanrancher - It's hard for me to jump on your band wagon when the rumors about WW have been swirling for a long time. This forum and Google are a marvelous thing.
Interesting - I don't remember starting a bandwagon.
I bought my unit new in December of 2007 (7 months ago). There were no rumors or other information floating around whatsoever about WW even being close to its current situation at that time. I did my research - people either loved 'em or didn't (usually because of quality control issues), but it seemed a majority were pleased so I trusted those evaluations and went with an FB2100 because it had a floorplan that I thought was well done.

RE: Weekend warrior Out of business?

Regardless of the bickering, many newer owners are being left out to dry by this situation.
I honestly wish I had never bought my WW unit last December.

RE: Warrior's assets siezed

You know, as a new owner of an FB2100 I have to say there should be more legal remedies in place to protect consumers from unscrupulous dealers who sell these units without giving any forwarning whatsoever as to the company's failing condition. They simply want to move the units, regardless of how it affects people.
What a shoddy industry this RV business is.

RE: Leaking Weekend Warrior FB2100

First of all, just looking at the underside framing of the trailer and seeing all of the rust is just not right. If it we me, I would make an appointment to meet the manufacturer's representative at the dealership so that you can all discuss the problem. I would be looking for a complete trailer replacement. The problems you show in the pictures are not going to go away, even if they claim to have fixed them. When this kind of damage involves the structural floor it creates weakness and danger of giving way. This could be disasterous to you and your family during travel.
Fred, can you give me any specifics on what I should question the dealership about regarding damages to the structure of the trailer? It's still at the dealer and as of a phone call to them today they are in the process of repairing it, but the service rep I spoke with could not give me any specifics or details regarding WW's position on the matter.
Personally, I like the trailer but I am very concerned about long-term issues at this point.

Above is a link with my WW experiences on an FB2100 I purchased new in December 2007; it is currently at the dealer after my very first trip and I'm waiting for a response on what is going to be done with the issues listed.

Leaking Weekend Warrior FB2100

Hello all - I was hoping to draw from the experience on this board to see if anyone here can help me out.
I bought a brand new WW FB2100 in December 2007 and took it out for its inaugural trip last weekend. The trailer was sitting in my driveway during the winter, fully winterized and had empty tanks that were not connected to any water lines.
Upon inspecting the trailer this weekend I found the following:

It appears that there is water leaking from several points inside the trailer. The first couple of photos show where water is coming from inside the front exterior wall and dripping down the frame, the next photos show it coming out of the belly at the rear of the trailer, and the last photo shows where it is coming out of the front cap seam (see rust trail).
I have been over the trailer with a fine tooth comb, and have not found any obvious points of entry for water from the exterior. The interior pluming appears secure, and there is no water leaking inside. But somehow, somewhere water is getting it.
I have a service dept appointment scheduled for next week. My question is, what should I ask them to do as far as repairs and looking into what else may be damaged? Obviously I need them to find the source of and repair the leaks, but should I be concerned about subfloor, insulation and/or structural damage as well?
Also, the trailer appear to have a lot of corrosion on the frame which is strange given that the unit has only been in my possession for about four months.

Any ideas as to how to address this as well? I thought the frames were painted at the factory to prevent corrosion from forming so readily?
Thanks in advance for any guidance on this.

How difficult is it to install an oboard generator?

Hi all - long story short, I just bought a Weekend Warrior FB2100 (I previously had an Outback 25RSS).
The WW did not come with a generator, but it has a vented compartment for one. I have been doing some research and for the money I am really considering a Generac/Guardian Quietpact 40. There are a couple of incredible deals going on for them right now.
Has anyone installed their own onboard generator, and if so how difficult was it? My WW has the onboard 20 gal fuel station located at the rear of the trailer, so I'm wondering if I can run a fuel line for the generator from that. Also, how hard is it to install the remote start/hour meter panel?
Thanks in advance for any help.
